WHAT IT IS
The claim comes pre-armored: 'they' are hiding this, which is why you haven't heard it — and any debunking just proves the cover-up.
WHY IT WORKS
Secret knowledge feels like status, and unfalsifiable framing means no evidence can ever count against it. Doubt gets recast as naivety.
HOW TO SPOT IT
- Absence of evidence presented as evidence of suppression
- Critics dismissed as bought, brainwashed, or 'in on it'
- You're flattered for being one of the few who see it
HOW TO DEFUSE IT
Ask what evidence would change the poster's mind. If the answer is 'nothing', it's identity content, not information.
ASK YOURSELF
Am I being informed, or being recruited?
